Abstract

The research goal: To identify the effect of using the generative learning strategy on the level of cognitive achievement and learn some basic skills in table tennis for students of the Faculty of Physical Education in Damietta.
The curriculum used: the experimental approach
Research community and sample: Students of the first group in the Faculty of Physical Education in Damietta. The research sample was chosen in an intentional manner and their strength is (64) students, and (16) students were chosen to conduct the exploratory study, so that the basic research sample (48) students were divided into two groups, one of them is the control and the other. Pilot in a randomized fashion

The most important results:
• The educational program supported by the generative learning strategy contributed effectively at the level of cognitive achievement and learning some basic skills in table tennis for the experimental sample (under research).
• The traditional method (orders) used in teaching the control group led to an improvement in the level of cognitive achievement and learning some basic skills in table tennis.
• The experimental group used for obstetric learning surpassed the control group used for the traditional method in the level of cognitive achievement and learning some basic skills in table tennis.
