The student’s attitudes toward teaching physically disabled students in the integrated physical education lessons

Abstract

The study aimed to know the attitudes of the teacher student towards the teaching of physically handicapped students in the lessons of combined physical education, and the researcher used the descriptive approach on a sample of (205) students (122) students (83 students) and the sample was divided into three groups according to the academic specialization as follows ( 68) Male and female students from the Department of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Physical Education, (53) male and female students from the revised Physical Education Department, and (75) male and female students from the General Division of the Colleges of Physical Education at the universities of Damietta - Banha - Zagazig - Sadat - Helwan - Mansoura - Tanta The researcher applied the Schuman scale, which included (30) items and distributed it equally on three main axes, which are beliefs, future application, and skills. Teaching physical education and modified physical education and the General Division, as the results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the attitudes of the student teacher in the sections (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Physical Education - Modified Sports Education) and the General Division towards Teaching physically handicapped students in incorporated physical education lessons for the benefit of the modified Physical Education Department. The researcher recommended the need to train student teachers in appropriate teaching strategies and methods to achieve effective integration of the physically handicapped student
