Abstract

The researcher seeks to design functional exercises that accompany music with the aim of identifying the effect of including functional rhythmic exercises especially on some of the physiological and physical-skill variables of kata players in karate. In order to answer the research questions, the researcher undertook a set of procedures summarized in the use of the experimental method for its suitability to the nature of the research. By designing the control and experimental groups, the sample was chosen by the intentional method, and the sample included 8 players divided into 4 players as a control group and 4 players as an experimental group, and the researcher applied the traditional training program on the control group and applied the same program with an increased inclusion of special rhythmic functional exercises in The program applied to the experimental sample over the course of 5 training weeks at 5 units per week from 9/27/2020 AD to 11/3/2020 AD. The results showed the positive effect of including special rhythmic exercises and spectrum within the content of the program For the training proposed by the researcher on the physiological and physical-skill variables as well as the technical level of the performance of the kata under study in addition to the superiority of the experimental group over its counterpart the control group by comparing the dimensional measurements of both groups in the physiological and physical-skill variables as well as the technical level of the performance of the kata under consideration.
