Abstract

The study aims to analyze the goal scoring variables in the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 (timing of goal scoring - the effect of the first goal on the outcome of the match - goal scoring areas - player centers registered for goals - the state of the team's schematic). (64) matches with (100%) of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 matches, and the results found that the most goals-scoring period of the match was the last period of the second half and then the first period of the second half as well, and the teams scoring the first goal in the match were able to win In (45) matches, goals were scored from (7) areas out of (16) areas in the stadium, the highest area for scoring was zone No. (3) against the goalkeeper from inside the penalty area by (60.50%), as was all The playing centers have a great opportunity to score goals, and the teams implementing the open-offensive play cases excelled by scoring (100) goals, while the teams implementing the closed defensive play cases managed to score (57) goals.
