Abstract

This research aims to develop the components of agility and to identify their impact on the exchange of collective defensive duties for junior female handball players.

The study was conducted on an intentional sample of (24) junior female handball players, born in (2002) at Algiad Club in Alexandria, and both the experimental method of the one-group system and the conduct of pre and post measurements, and the descriptive method for analyzing the matches of the sample under study.

The results of the study resulted in statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement in all tests of agility components, and tests of collective defensive duties for adjacent playing centers, and the size of the effect was between (medium to high) in all the tests under consideration. With the exception of the vertical jump test (work), where the effect size amounted to (0.262), which is the size of a weak effect, and the development of agility components led to the achievement of defense success through the rapid exchange of collective defensive duties to adjacent playing centers represented in (interviewing and covering - accompanying the attacker - Delivery and Receipt) in the sample matches under consideration.

The two researchers recommend that the proposed exercises regulated in accordance with the energy production systems be guided by the proposed training doses for their effectiveness in developing the components of agility.
