Abstract

Recently, there have been various changes related to the law of taekwondo competitions, particularly, the penal provision which stated that; “the player who does not attack within 10 seconds will be liable to a warning, as well as the passive and mess play”. This required coaches to find training methods that help to improve the continuous performance and good behavior of the players in order to reach the winning points, as openning or taking advantage of any gap with rapidly changing the direction of different defensive or offensive positions while maintaining balance, strength, speed, and body control. Through the field follow up of the researcher as a coach as well as an international taekwondo referee, he observed low levels of foot movements in young players under the age of 14 as the coaches relied on their planned fitness skills from the modern interactive agility. Aim of study: The current study aims to identify the effect of reactive agility exercises on foot movements of taekwondo juniors. Methods: The researcher used the experimental method, 12 players from Tanta sport club were selected as a sample for the research Results: The results revealed that there are significant statistical differences at a level (0.05) between the motor and skill variables of the two groups in favor of the experimental group . Conclusion:The researcher attributed this result to the use of the interactive agility exercises, which were variable and comprehensive whereas the agility exercises were integrated with physical motor performance, skill, and planning.
