Setting standard levels for some morphological measurements as indicators for selecting students to practice swimming

Abstract

The research aims to set standard levels for some morphological measurements as indicators for selecting students to practice swimming in the second cycle schools for boys in the Wilayat of Seeb - Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher used the descriptive approach survey studies, the research community consisted of (12) schools, including the research sample, on 6 schools by random method from (6) schools of primary school students from the second cycle schools for males in the Wilayat of Seeb, Muscat Governorate, whose number is (488) students. And among the most important results, most of the variables and their number (10) out of 18 variables were obtained at an acceptable level, followed by (6) variables with a good level, while one variable got an excellent level, and one variable was also at a very good level, most of the variables indicated the possibility of Practice for the sample in the sport of swimming.
