The effect of a proposed program to rehabilitate the lateral meniscus rupture of the knee joint

Abstract

The research aims to design a physical rehabilitation program based on rehabilitative exercises, aquatic exercises, functional exercises, and determine its feasibility for rehabilitating people with lateral meniscus rupture of the knee joint by identifying the effect of the program on (level of getting rid of pain-the degree of infiltration-the circumference of the thigh And the leg -the range of motion-the level of balance-the muscle strength of the muscles working on the injured knee).the researcher used the experimental approach (one experimental group) in a manner, Measurements (tribe - follow-up - and dimensional), the sample was chosen by the intentional method of handball players, (4) players aged (22-28) years. program was divided into Three phases of (12) weeks .the researcher concluded that the program helped to get rid of the pain, and helped to get rid of the infiltration, showed improvement and significant improvement in the circumference of the thigh and leg muscles compared to the healthy limb, and showed improvement in the range of motion compared to the healthy limb, and showed improvement on the level of balance compared to the healthy knee, and improvement on muscle strength. The aquatic exercises and the functional exercises helped to speed up the return of the normal basic functions of the injured knee.The researcher recommends to be guided by the proposed program for people with lateral meniscus rupture of the knee joint, and to pay attention to aquatic exercises, functional exercises, flexibility exercises, balance and muscle strength when designing rehabilitation programs
