effect Motives for Participation recreational fishing its impact on subjective happiness in spending of the elderly Persons

Abstract:

Research Aim:

The current research seeks to detect the true motives for participation recreational fishing in outdoor and its impact on enhancing rate of subjective happiness in spending leisure time among a sample of the elderly persons in Alexandria city.

Research Methodology:

The current research used the descriptive analytical method because its suitability for the nature and objectives of this research .

Sample of the Research:

The researcher selected the research sample intentionally, and it consisted of (76) elderly men and women who practice recreational sea fishing and frequent some of the open beaches in Alexandria Governorate. Their ages are between (50 and 76) years. They were divided into (20) elderly persons as an exploratory sample. (76) elderly men and women as a basic sample.

The most important results:



• The most important motivations and incentives for practicing recreational sea fishing for the elderly are spending leisure time, as well as the need for entertainment and sports, as well as enjoying natural aquatic environments.

• The considerable constraints that prevents elderly persons from practicing recreational fishing is poor health.

• The most prominent indicator of subjective happiness among elderly persons who practice recreational sea fishing is establising the social relations.
