Abstract

Designing a health rehabilitation and educational program to restore the functional efficiency of the knee joint for women with knee osteoarthritis and identifying its effect through: -

Strengthening the muscles surrounding the knee joint.

Reducing the severity of pain.

According to the nature of the research and its objectives, the researcher used the experimental method, using the experimental design for pre- and post-measurements, using one experimental group.

The research sample was chosen intentionally, and they are 12 women for the basic sample and 5 women for the exploratory sample from the research community, outside the basic research sample. Table (3) shows the description of the research sample.

The researcher relied on presenting the results according to:

- There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the pre-measurement and the post-measurement in the experimental group and in favor of the post-measurement in the muscle strength variable in both the grip and extension movements.

- The percentage of improvement between the pre- and post-measurements of the affected knee in the variable of pain intensity for members of the experimental group, as the percentage of improvement ranged between 25.818% for the right knee and 26.797% for the left knee.

- There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the pre-measurement and the post-measurement in the variable of pain intensity, and in favor of the post-measurement.
