Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of a rehabilitation program and virtual reality games on some physical variables in patients with multiple sclerosis. The researcher used the experimental method using one group by conducting pre-measurement and post-measurement due to its suitability to the nature of this research. The human scope of this research included (11) female cases of multiple sclerosis, with (8) female patients as a primary sample and (3) female patients as a survey sample, aged between 30 and 40 years. This study was applied in Cairo - Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital, At Nasser facility. The duration of the program was (3) months, with (3) rehabilitation units per week, and the time of the treatment unit was set at (45: 55) minutes, as (1) floor rehabilitation exercise unit , and the aim of it was to prepare the patients to do virtual reality exercises correctly, and (2) rehabilitation units using virtual reality. The results of the study were that applying the rehabilitation program using virtual reality games led to improving the muscular strength of the arms, legs, back and fist, improving dynamic balance and a significant improvement in static balance, and also led to improving neuromuscular coordination.
