The effect of Tabata exercises on some coordination abilities and the performance level of the ground movements of artistic gymnastics juniors

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of Tabata exercises on the level of floor movement performance of female artistic gymnastics, and the researcher used the experimental method with an experimental design for one group using pre- and post-measurement to suit the nature of the current study. The research community was represented by female artistic gymnastics under (9) years old and registered with the Egyptian Artistic Gymnastics Federation. Sports season 2022-2023 AD. The research sample was chosen intentionally for female artistic gymnastics under (9) years old and registered with the Egyptian Federation for Artistic Gymnastics for the sports season 2022-2023 AD. They number (16) young women and will be divided into (8) young women to implement the program and (8 ) Young women for the exploratory study, The most important results were that Tabata exercises contributed effectively to improving the level of performance on the floor movement apparatus among female artistic gymnastics, which are (side somersault with a quarter turn, fast back somersault, gap with switching legs, back roll to handstand, and skillful performance of a set of movements. Floor), where the percentage improvement in the side somersault with a quarter turn test was (40.54%), the percentage improvement in the fast back somersault test was (39.47%), and the percentage improvement in the gap test with switching legs was (50.00%).
