The effect of an educational program using the constructive learning model on cognitive achievement and the level of performance of some track competitions in Kuwait

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of the educational program using the constructivist learning model on cognitive achievement and the level of performance of some track competitions (100 meters sprint - 400 meters run - 1500 meters run) ,the researcher used the experimental method, the research community included students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports in Kuwait and registered for the course of field and track competitions, and their number is (100) students, the sample was randomly selected and their number is (48) students, the number (12) students were excluded to conduct the exploratory study, the research sample became Basic (36) students, They were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other a control of (18) students each, research tools: cognitive test, Expert Survey Form on Physical Qualities and Tests - Expert Survey Form on the Educational Program, and the researcher used the Arithmetic mean - standard deviation - median - torsion coefficient - simple correlation coefficient - test "T" - equation of improvement ratios %.
The most important results were:
1- The educational program using the constructivist learning model has a positive effect on the cognitive achievement and performance level of some track competitions
2- The method of learning by commands (traditional method) has a positive effect on the cognitive achievement and performance level of some track competitions
3- Outperforming the members of the experimental group over the members of the control group in cognitive achievement and the level of performance of some track competitions
