Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of the two methods (gradual and regular) of the cool-down period on some biological variables during the stage of overcompensation and the level of skill and tactical performance of junior judo players. The researchers used the experimental method using the experimental design of two experimental groups using a pre- and post-measurement method. The research population was chosen intentionally from Judo juniors at Tanta Sports Club from the age of 13-14 years. The research sample included 14 juniors and they were divided into two experimental groups. The most important results indicated that by comparing the rates of improvement between the two experimental groups in the post-measurements, we find that the rates of improvement achieved by the first experimental group using (the decline method Gradual) was much greater than the percentages of improvement achieved by the second experimental group using (the systematic decline method) in the biological variables of the overcompensation stage, skill performance, and the level of plan performance (under research), which indicates that the use of gradual decline had an effective impact in raising the functional level. And biochemical, as well as the level of skill and tactical performance of junior judo players. The researchers recommend the need for those working in the applied scientific field to pay attention to the cool-down phase that immediately precedes competitions because it has an effective impact in transferring juniors from the preparation stage to the competition stage.
