Abstract

The 400m hurdles competition occupies a prominent place among track competitions, as it is practiced at all age levels and is represented in complex competitions. It is one of the most difficult competitions in which a competitor can advance digitally due to the challenges he faces during performance. Despite the difficulty of the competition, it is very interesting, Attention must be paid to the psychological aspect because it is one of the necessary and inevitable components of the training unit due to its importance in achieving successes in sports.

The research aims to design a proposed program for some self-talk and attention exercises and to identify some of the physical variables specific to the 400m hurdles race and the level of performance (skills and digital).

The sample number was (10 ) young girls, and the one-group experimental approach was used. The program was applied using exercises for self-talk and focus of attention. The most important results of the research resulted in that the exercises for self-talk and focus of attention had a positive impact on some physical variables related to the 400m hurdles race (strength). Muscular strength, speed, muscular ability, agility, flexibility and balance) and performance level (skills and digital). The most important recommendations were the use of self-talk training and focus of attention to improve the physical capabilities and digital level of 400m hurdles players.
