As well as identifying the effect of corrective exercises to develop some
biomechanical variables for the high blocking skill of the right and left corners
of goalkeepers in handball. The researchers hypothesized that the corrective
exercises positively affect some biomechanical variables for the high blocking
skill of the right and left corners of goalkeepers in handball. The researchers
used the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature of the
research, and the research sample was chosen by the intentional method
from the junior goalkeepers of the Al-Fatwa Sports Club in handball. The
researcher used the experimental approach for its suitability and the nature of
the research. As for the research sample, it was chosen by the intentional
method from handball goalkeepers who numbered (5) guards. The
researchers used testing, measurement and scientific observation as means
of data collection. For the purpose of achieving scientific and technical
observation, video imaging was used by two digital cameras (Casio high
speed Exilim). The second was a phone device (iPhone Xs Max) at a speed of
(120 photos/sec). The first camera was placed vertically in front of the
goalkeeper, and the second camera was placed sideways on the left side of
the goalkeeper. A drawing scale of length (1) m was used with five positions in
the horizontal and vertical positions for each position to know Real image
dimensions. The data were treated statistically using the (SPSS) program to
obtain (the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient,
t-test for independent and equal samples, and t-test for correlated samples.
The most important conclusions were the following: The corrective exercises
achieved a significant positive effect on the biomechanical variables of the
basic skills, including the angle of the elbow, shoulder and knee in the ready
position, the angle of the wrist, hip, knee and ankle in the blocking skills with
the arms, the angle of the wrist, hip, knee and ankle in the blocking skills.
