Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of stretching exercises in developing some physical abilities on the balance beam apparatus for women's artistic gymnastics junior, and the researcher used the experimental method with an experimental design for one group using pre- and post- measurement to suit the nature of the current study. The research community was represented by women artistic gymnastics junior level 8 years old and registered within the Egyptian Artistic Gymnastics Federation sports season 2022-2033, their number is (20) gymnasts, (2) gymnasts from the basic research sample were excluded due to the injury of one of them and the irregularity of the other, and thus the research sample became (18) gymnasts and they were divided into (8) for the application of the program and (10) for the exploratory study, and one of the most important results reached by the researcher is the presence of statistically significant differences between the pre – and post- measurements in some physical abilities in favor of post-measurement .

As the stretching exercises with neuromuscular facilities with "contract-relax" (CR) technique contributed effectively to the development of some physical abilities on the balance beam apparatus of women artistic gymnastics junior, represented in muscle lengthening (shoulders, trunk, thigh, knees), muscular strength, Where the rates of change in muscle lengthening between (3.3%: 85.7%), and the rates of change in muscle strength between (27.3%: 88,9%) and in favor of the post-measurement of women artistic gymnastics junior under research.
