Abstract

Kayak is one of the fast-spreading sports in recent times and depends on its practice on the muscles of the upper limb next to the lower limb until we reach muscle integration in performance, the researcher found that the use of functional strength training during training, the importance of which is that it has an effect in a way Indirectly on the muscles by converting the increase in the force produced from a movement so that it can be used to improve the performance and integration of the nervous system, which leads to improving the motor capabilities of the central part, which in turn affects the improvement of the muscle strength of the muscles of the upper and lower extremities

The researcher used the experimental method, and the study included a sample of (12) players from the Egyptian rowing club whose ages ranged between 12-14 years, and the researcher used a training program for functional strength using the Swiss ball. The results showed that functional strength training led to an improvement in the level of physical variables represented in(the capacity& the strength of the two legs muscles - the ability& the strength of the abdominal muscles - the strength of the back muscles - the ability& the strength of the muscles of the arms - the strength of the right& left fist) as well as the variables and skill (number of strokes - total time 500 meters - stroke time - average stroke frequency - stroke length) for kayak players.
