Abstract

Abstract
The research aims to know the effect of physical effort on the hormone calcitonin, some biochemical variables, and muscle strength among elderly women.
The researchers used the experimental method by designing one group, following the pre- and post-measurements. The research sample was chosen intentionally and consisted of 10 women whose ages ranged between 59 and 60 years. The proposed program was applied to determine the extent of its impact on the variables under research. The results of the research were that there were differences between the two pre-measurements. In favor of post-hoc measurement, the most important recommendations are scientific awareness of the importance of exercising in general and for the elderly in particular due to its clear effect on raising physical and muscular efficiency and endocrine secretions of the hormone calcitonin It is responsible for regulating the percentage of calcium and phosphorus in the blood and increasing bone minerals, which reduces the risk of diseases such as osteoporosis or exposure to frequent bone fractures, which clearly accompany this stage of teeth, in which it is difficult to recover easily, and the duration of recovery may even be longer than other stages of age.
