Abstract

The research aims to design proposed training for tactical approaches to know their effect on the improvement rates of some physical variables, and the level of improvement (foot movements, forehand straight shot, backhand straight shot) for tennis juniors. The researcher used the experimental method by following the experimental design for one experimental group using pre- and post-measurement. The sample was selected intentionally from tennis juniors for the 2023-2024 training season under 12 years old, where the total sample amounted to (18) juniors who were divided into (8) juniors to conduct the exploratory study, and (10) juniors in the basic study sample registered with the Egyptian Tennis Federation. The researcher applied the proposed training by adding the duration of training application to the training units in the basic program for a period of 8 weeks at a rate of 3 units per week.

The most important results of the tactical approaches training were represented in their positive effect on some physical variables, which are (ability, coordination, balance), while they had no effect on the variable (flexibility), in addition to the positive effect on the level of (foot movements, forehand straight shot, backhand straight shot) for tennis juniors. The researcher recommends using tactical approaches training to develop some physical, skill, physiological, tactical and psychological variables for tennis players of both sexes and for different age groups, in addition to directing the results of this study to tennis coaches for the possibility of benefiting from them.
