Abstract

The aim of the research was to develop an educational program using the group competitive method according to the "Jigsaw" strategy on some physical variables and the level of skill performance for peaceful shooting in basketball. The researcher followed the experimental method with an experimental design with pre- and post-measurement for one experimental group, due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The research sample was selected from the first-year students at the Faculty of Physical Education - Benha University for the academic year (2023 AD - 2024 AD) in the second semester, as the researcher is responsible for teaching them, and it included (12) students, committed to attendance. The most important results and conclusions reached by the researcher were that the use of group competitive learning methods according to the "jigsaw" strategy had a positive impact on developing the level of some physical variables related to the nature of skill performance among the students of the research sample, as well as a positive impact on developing the level of peaceful shooting performance in basketball among the research sample with percentage improvement rates exceeding (88%) compared to the pre-measurement.
