Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of using a program based on QR codes in cognitive outcomes within fencing. The researcher adopted an experimental approach, deemed suitable for the nature of the research, using a one-group experimental design with pre- and post-tests conducted on the same group. A purposive sample of 60 first-year female students from the Faculty of Physical Education at Benha University for the 2023/2024 academic year was selected. The sample was divided into 20 students for a preliminary study and 40 for the main study.

The results showed that the proposed program improved the students’ cognitive levels, with statistically significant differences favoring the post-test results, especially in the cognitive achievement test for first-year students. The improvement rate between the pre- and post-tests was 121.37%. The study recommended using similar QR code-based programs to enhance cognitive learning in other sports and encouraged the use of modern technological tools in education, particularly those that promote self-learning and move away from traditional teaching methods.
