Abstract

The study aimed to design a standardized observation form to assess the teaching performance of student teachers in the education division. The researcher employed the descriptive survey method, as the study relies on collecting data from various sources, classifying, analyzing, and reporting their status. The original research population included curriculum and teaching methods professors from different Egyptian universities. One of the data collection tools was a questionnaire designed by the researcher.

The most important findings indicated that assessing the teaching performance of student teachers in the education division is a necessary process to enhance the quality of education in the field of physical education. Feedback contributes to improving student teachers' performance by helping them identify strengths and weaknesses in their teaching practices.

Among the key recommendations is utilizing assessment results to develop teaching methods and update curricula in line with technological advancements and contemporary needs. Additionally, feedback should be immediate and specific to provide constructive insights that contribute to performance improvement. Self-assessment is also an effective tool for personal performance analysis, allowing teachers to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in their teaching practices.
