The Effect of Tabata Training on Muscular Ability and Some Solo Play Positions in Speedball

Abstract

The importance of this research lies in the studies that are based on developing muscular strength and some solo playing positions. The research aims to use Tabata training to know its effect on muscular strength and two positions (playing with one racket with the right hand, playing with one racket with the left hand) from the solo playing positions.

The researcher used the experimental method with a pre-post measurement design, one group is experimental and the other is control, in order to suit the nature of the research. The research community is represented by speedball juniors in Cairo region clubs registered with the Egyptian Speedball Federation for the sports season 2023-2024 AD. The research sample was chosen intentionally from speedball juniors under (9-11) years old at Al-Nasr Sports Club, who have (30) juniors. They were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other control, each consisting of 15 juniors, (10) juniors for the exploratory study (5) as a distinguished group of speedball juniors (13-15) years old (5) as a non-distinguished group of speedball juniors (9-11) years old from the research community and outside the main sample. The training program was applied to the research sample members for a period of (3) months, i.e. (12) weeks, at a rate of three training units per week, with a total of 36 training units.

The most important results of the research were the improvement in the level of muscular strength and the solo playing positions of young players aged (9-11) years .
