Abstract

The research included a first chapter that addressed the role of psychological momentum as a relevant variable influencing the stability of the skill performance of direct free kicks in football for young Iraqi league players and the importance of this in achieving the highest possible level of skill performance stability for players. The research aims to identify the levels of psychological momentum and the nature of its relationship with the kinematic performance of direct free kicks among young Iraqi league players.
The third chapter involved the use of a measurement tool, the psychological momentum scale for football players, with its correct scientific steps, known on a sample of young Iraqi league players, numbering 30. The researchers then analyzed the goal-scoring skill as a free kick and worked to find the relationship between them according to the scientific steps of the results generated from filming the free kicks using a Sony camera with a frequency of (100 frames/second). The researchers then presented, analyzed, and discussed the results, and arrived at a set of results and recommendations based on the field application of the research requirements
