Abstract

In this study, the researchers addressed the importance of digital photography in measuring handball shooting speed. The research problem included answering the following question: "Is there a relationship between handball shooting speed and two-handed and one-handed receiving skills?" The research objective was to identify the relationship between handball shooting speed and two-handed and one-handed receiving skills. The research methodology and field procedures were based on a descriptive approach using a correlational method, as it suited the research problem. The research sample consisted of 14 players from the University of Diyala handball team, who were selected deliberately. Photographs were taken using a modern GoPro digital camera, and statistical methods appropriate for the research were applied. The researchers reached the following important conclusions: There is a significant correlation between handball shooting speed and both two-handed and one-handed receiving skills, and shooting speed when receiving the ball with one hand is better than when receiving the ball with both hands.
