Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of a rehabilitation program on knee joint inflammation among female futsal players in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher employed the experimental method as it suits the nature of the study, using a pre-test and post-test design for a single group subjected to the proposed rehabilitation program. The sample was intentionally selected from female futsal players diagnosed with knee joint inflammation during the 2024/2025 training season. The sample consisted of 8 injured players aged between 19 and 21 years from Al-Anqa Sports Club in Saudi Arabia.

The rehabilitation program was applied to improve the range of motion in flexion and extension, as well as the pain level among the players. The program lasted for three months, with three training sessions per week.

The most important results showed that the proposed rehabilitation program effectively improved the range of motion in flexion and extension and reduced the pain level in players with knee inflammation. It also contributed to the players’ return to sports activity. The researcher recommended using the rehabilitation program as a reference in treating knee joint injuries and suggested developing a preventive program to reduce the incidence of knee joint inflammation.
