Article Summary

This article presents the "Ethical Charter for Artificial Intelligence Users in Sports" as a guiding framework for athletes, coaches, and sports psychologists. It is based on an analysis of the ethical and legal challenges associated with the use of this advanced technology. The charter was developed in three stages: analyzing international literature and ethical codes, surveying expert opinions on the draft charter, and then presenting the final guideline along with recommendations. The survey results, which involved 195 experts who use AI in the sports field, showed broad consensus on the importance of protecting privacy, ensuring fairness, and clearly defining responsibilities. The article also highlights the need for practical tools that ensure accountability and transparency, and that minimize the risks of data bias. It concludes by stressing the importance of aligning smart practices with local cultural and legislative contexts, and emphasizes that ethical use of AI in sports opens new horizons for performance enhancement, fairness, and the protection of human dignity.
