The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of therapeutic movement expression on body balance and quality of life in patients with Parkinson’s disease. The researcher employed the experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The total sample consisted of 12 Parkinson’s patients from the Empowerment and Elderly Care Center (Ehsan) in the State of Qatar. The proposed training program was applied to them, and measurements of body balance and quality of life were conducted.
The program lasted for 12 weeks and included 24 training sessions at a rate of 2 sessions per week, with each session lasting between 35 and 50 minutes.
Among the most important findings of the study were that the therapeutic movement expression program led to an improvement of 20.8% in body balance and 76.6% in quality of life among Parkinson’s patients.
The researcher recommended the application of the proposed therapeutic movement expression program due to its significant impact in reducing Parkinson’s disease symptoms.
