Abstract

The research aims to design a training program for qualitative exercises using the balance board and its effect on the element of physical fitness represented in (balance) and the skill performance of the forward roll skill for artistic gymnastics juniors under 7 years old on the balance beam device. The researcher used the experimental method with a pre-experimental and post-experimental design for one group due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The basic research sample was selected intentionally from the artistic gymnastics players of the club (October), and the sample size was (16) players and they were randomly divided by lottery into (8) players as a basic sample for the research and to conduct the experiment on them and (8) players as a exploratory sample to conduct scientific transactions for the tests on them. The study reached statistically significant hypotheses between the averages of the pre- and post-measurements at the level of physical variables (balance) in favor of the post-measurements, and there are statistically significant hypotheses between the averages of the pre- and post-measurements at the level of skill performance in favor of the post-measurements. The results of the study concluded that the qualitative training using the balance board led to the improvement and development of the physical variables represented in the element (balance) and the development of the level of skill performance for the skill of forward rolling on the balance beam.
