Abstract Time analysis and its derivatives for the (800) meter race are very important in identifying strengths and weaknesses according to the specific values of this event, based on the tactics of our players. The study aimed to identify the time indicators for the 800 meter race for the national team players. The researcher assumed that the time indicators under study, specific to the 800 meter race, do not match the required level of achievement for the national team players. The researcher used a descriptive approach using a case study method. The research sample was deliberately selected, comprising the top three players participating in the race. The researcher reached the following conclusions: - Slowing speeds had a negative impact on the players' performance, and the time distributions during the race were not accurately calculated. - The players need to improve their performance by 6-8% of their current level to be able to compete in international competitions. The researcher made the following recommendations: - A recommendation to select and implement a running tactic that aligns with the significant progress in global achievements. - Adopting a special training program to balance speed and endurance, which develops the athlete's performance according to the required percentage, which is between 6-8% of their performance level. - Adding special exercises to increase the sense of speed and regulate effort during the race by regulating strides (length/frequency).
