Abstract

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the correlation between the Biokinematic variables of the counter-stop attack and its success. The descriptive approach using survey studies was chosen as it is the most suitable method for addressing the research problem. The research sample consisted of the top three national teams in foil fencing that won medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics (Japan, Italy, France).
One of the study’s conclusions was that the artificial neural network proved its efficiency in calculating the correlation values between the competitor’s Biokinematic variables and the success of the counterattack (counter-stop attack). The researchers recommended that players and coaches should focus on identifying Biokinematic errors made by the attacker to exploit them effectively in executing a successful counterattack.
