Abstract

The study aims to identify the impact of CrossFit training on the skill and tactical performance levels of female boxing players. This is done by examining the effect of CrossFit training on certain skill-related variables and certain tactical variables. The researchers used the experimental method, adopting a pre-test/post-test design for two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The study sample included female boxers from Al-Heikstep Club and Al-Gezira Youth Center, aged between 15 and 18 years, who were registered with the Egyptian Boxing Federation for the 2023/2024 season. The total population consisted of 28 players, and a purposive sample of 20 players was selected. These were divided into two equal and equivalent groups, each consisting of 10 players. An exploratory sample of 8 players from the same population but outside the main research sample was also used. The most important findings of the study were: CrossFit training had an effective impact on improving the skill variables under study (specifically, the skill of left straight punches and right hook punches) among the female boxing players. CrossFit training also had a significant positive effect on improving the tactical variable under study (specifically, the skill of feinting during attacks) among the same players.
