Abstract

The study examines the reality of exploring opportunities from the perspective of competitive advantage among administrative cadres in selected sports clubs. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach using the survey method, with a randomly selected sample of 300 sports activity administrators from Cairo and Giza governorates. This represented 83% of the research population, divided into 250 individuals for the main study and 50 for a pilot sample drawn from inside and outside the main framework.A questionnaire was designed to collect data, consisting of 11 statements on opportunity exploration. These included providing employees with modern technologies, designing innovative programs, addressing customers’ social requirements, fostering a competitive environment among employees, increasing the use of technology in services, experimenting with new activities, and expanding the scope of services.Findings revealed a high level of opportunity exploration among administrative cadres in the studied sports clubs. Furthermore, there was a positive correlation between all questionnaire items and the general reality of opportunity exploration, indicating that administrators actively contribute to enhancing competitive advantage through innovation, service development, and effective use of technology.Based on these results, the study offered several recommendations. Club leaders should focus on designing diverse training programs to develop staff skills. Marketing teams are advised to adopt modern marketing techniques to attract and retain customers. Training and human resources departments should invest in employees’ skills, creativity, and potential. Additionally, club administrations are encouraged to design economic programs suited to different social and financial groups, ensuring inclusivity and wider participation.
