The effect of the stabilization and relaxation method with rehabilitative exercises in reducing knee joint pain for players with OSGOOD SCHLATTER

Abstract

Through the work of the researcher in the field of motor rehabilitation, a group of basketball players were presented at the age group of (13-15) years who complain of knee pain continuously, and by presenting them to a orthopedic doctor, knee pain was diagnosed with Osgood Schlatter syndrome, which often affects teenagers, especially athletes, which are characterized by nature. Their sport in the activities of jumping and jumping, and through its highlighting the previous paragraph of what foreign studies dealt with the importance of stretching and strength exercises in the rehabilitation programs of Osgood Schlatter syndrome, so the researcher will design a rehabilitation program using the fastening and relaxation method, which is one of the methods of neuromuscular facilities (PNF) AR rehabilitative exercises as an attempt to reduce knee pain and improve the kinetic range of the knee joint for players with Osgood Schlatter syndrome.In the light of the research procedures, sample limits and statistical analysis, the following was reached: 1 - The rehabilitation program had a positive effect on improving the degree of pain of the knee joint for players with Osgood Schlatter syndrome
2 - The rehabilitation program had a positive effect on improving the motor range of the knee joint for players with Osgood Schlatter syndrome.
3 The proposed qualifying program led to the speedy return of the players to practice their sports activities (basketball).
