Abstract

This research aims to improve the skill of aerial cartwheel on the balance beam through a proposed training program for symmetry as a function of muscle symmetry for the ratios of the muscles of the shoulder and trunk on the skill and symmetry of the two sides of the body so as to identify its effect on some physical abilities and symmetry of both sides of the body and perform the aerial cartwheel skill. The research sample was chosen intentionally by the gymnastics players under 13 years old and registered in the Egyptian Technical Gymnastics Association for young women, The sample reached (6) players at Smouha Sports Club. The results of the study revealed that the proposed training program in terms of muscle symmetry had a positive effect on physical abilities, similarities between the left and right sides of the body, the stages of performance (introductory, major, and final) and overall skill performance. The researcher recommends trainers when developing training programs that include exercises that verify symmetry between the right and left sides of the body a like for young women in gymnastics.
