The Effect of Proprioceptive Exercises on the Ring with Hands Balance Skill Performance in Rhythmic Gymnastics

Abstract:
The researcher conducted a study entitled: " The Effect of Proprioceptive Exercises on the Ring with Hands Balance Skill Performance in Rhythmic Gymnastics" the aim of this study is to identify the effect of Proprioceptive Exercises on the level of (balance - back muscles strength – legs strength - shoulder flexibility - spine flexibility - Pelvic flexibility - Coordination) and the skill level of Ring With Hand skill among rhythmic gymnasts, the researcher used the experimental group design with a single experimental group through pre and post measurements which suits the nature and aims of the study, the sample consists of (14) rhythmic gymnasts under (12) years of birth (2008/2009) at Gazira Sports Club (GSC) and registered in the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation (EGF) for the sports season (2018-2019), the proposed training program was applied to them, the program conducted for (8) weeks with (4) Training units per week, with (90) minutes per unit using the BOSU ball and Balance board, the results showed a significant difference using the Proprioceptive Exercises in the proposed training program in the level of (balance - back muscles strength – legs strength - shoulder flexibility - spine flexibility - Pelvic flexibility - Coordination) and the skill level of Ring With Hand skill among rhythmic gymnasts, the researcher recommends using the proposed training program in physical and skill preparation for performing Ring With Hand skill for rhythmic gymnasts.
