A program of recreational games to develop the psychological resilience of intensive care nurses
Abstract:
The current research aims to develop the psychological resilience of intensive care nurses through the recreational games program. Participants (n=20) were all nurses who got the lowest scores in the psychological resilience scale . The researcher used a pre- and post- measurement through the psychological resilience anxiety scale designed by the researcher . The Recreational games program was applied on the Participants for a period of (12) continuous week from 29/6/2019 to 25/9/2019 . Results indicated statistically significant differences between the pre- and post- measurements of participants in the development of psychological resilience (Personal and social efficiency, emotional balance, problem-solving, rigidity, flexibility, positive thinking toward the future) in favor of post-measurements through the recreational games program. The researcher thinks that this improvement is due to the positive effects of the recreational games program on developing the psychological resilience of intensive care nurses.
