All developed countries give great interest for learners’ preparation. The essence of education processes nowadays is search for different teaching strategies that teach students how to think effectively.
Therefore, the researcher believed that using metacognition strategies through theoretical and applied lectures in motor expression may have an effective role in developing innovative design skills for motor expression shows, and it will help students to actively participate in lectures and hold them responsible for their learning through reflection, observation and thinking while they learn. The researcher used the experimental method using two-group design (control - experimental) based on post measurements.
Hundred twenty (120) female students in fourth grade- Education section participated in the study, they divided into (45) female students for pilot study and (116) female students for main study (60 students for experimental group and (56) students for control group). After proposed program implementation and conducting statistical analysis, the most important results revealed that using metacognition strategies had a positive effect on the cognitive side, as well as enhancing the students’ motor expression shows’ performance level and innovative design.
Among the most important recommendations is using the proposed program in teaching motor expression curricula in the four grades to develop innovative design in motor expression.
