The effect of using the combined skill performance training method on improving some skillful performances of basketball players under 17 years old in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The study aims to identify the effect of using the combined skill performance training method on improving some skillful performances of basketball players under 17 years old in the State of Kuwait. The researcher used the experimental approach with one experimental group using the pre-post measurement of the study sample. The sample was chosen by the intentional method from a team budding under 17 years of basketball beginners at the Kuwait Kuwaiti Club, totaling (14) men, who underwent the training program under study, and the results of the study concluded that the training program using the combined skill training method showed a positive effect on the development of individual skill performances (jumping shot - peaceful correction - chest pass - dancing) The rate of improvement of the training program using the combined skill training method ranged between (21.736% - 53.662%) for individual skill performances. The training program using the compound skill training method showed a positive effect on the development of complex skill performances (dribbling, jumping, dribbling, and peaceful correction - Dribbling and passing from the movement - following the basket, then shooting). The improvement rate for the training program using the combined skill training method was between (50.011% - 61.320%) for individual skill performances.
