Title of the paper: The role of the physical education curriculum content and its teachers in imparting the principles of citizenship as one of the contemporary educational trends for primary school students, The research aims to know the role of the content of the physical education curriculum and its teachers in imparting the principles of citizenship as one of the contemporary educational trends for primary school pupils in Gharbia governorate. The researcher used the descriptive approach using analysis and surveying as one of its patterns on an intentional sample of 60 teachers, including 30 class teachers and 30 physical education teachers in some centers of Gharbia Governorate. The researcher used in collecting data analysis, questionnaires, and observation card. The results of the research were represented in the existence of a clear deficiency of the principles of citizenship in the content of the physical education curriculum for the primary stage, which indicates a lack of interest in developing the content in this vital field and the educational role that a physical education teacher can play in the primary stage in imparting the principles of citizenship is almost weak and therefore not at the required level.
