The Effect of a Recreational Games Program on Performance Level of Star Three in Artistic Swimming

Abstract

Recreational games are one of the ways to developed skills at many sports, through which the players learn skills faster with an interesting and enjoying way. Games are also considered an essential element in the training sessions, as they work on developing the physical fitness skills with the application of basic skills to achieve the desired purpose.
The technique of artistic swimming requires a combination of endurance, strength, speed, acrobatics, and high flexibility with ability to control breathing The Stars program is the main key that helps the player to proficiency the technique of this sport, and it offers progressive, step-by-step instruction and evaluation suitable for a variety of age groups and different abilities, including persons with disabilities.
Research aims to identify effect of a recreational program games on the performance level of star three in artistic swimming for 9 years old. The researchers used two groups (experimental and controlled), from artistic swimming players at Zamalek sporting club, as (22) players were divided into two equal groups, one experimental and the other controlled consisting of (8) female students, in addition to (6) students for the pilot study.
The most important results were the statistically significant differences between (experimental and controlled group) of the technique performance level TESTS of star three in artistic swimming for 9 years old in favor of the post-measurement, and statistically significant differences between the post-measurement of the experimental and control groups in the technique performance tests in favor of the experimental group < /p>
