Technical analysis of the finishing phase of the scoring opportunities according to the types of attack in The European Football Championship 2020 and its impact on the results of matches

Abstract

The research aims to identify the technical variables and factors associated with the termination stage of the attacks that formed a scoring opportunity according to the types of attack in the European Football Championship 2020 and their impact on the results of the matches. The researcher used the descriptive approach in the survey method through scientific observation of a sample of fifteen (15) matches from The European Championship 2020 "UEFA EURO 2020", was deliberately chosen from the round of sixteen matches, and the data collection tools included the reference survey of scientific studies, analysis forms, tools and devices for recording and displaying matches. A total of (216) offensive finishes were analyzed, forming a scoring opportunity with a percentage. (51.68%) out of (418) offensive terminations were implemented during the basic sample matches, and the researcher noticed that the number (88) offensive terminations of a scoring opportunity were done quickly in the short term with a percentage (40.74%), and that the number (128) offensive terminations of a chance Scoring was done slowly in the long term with a percentage (59.26%) of the attacks that formed a scoring opportunity, and one of the most important conclusions was the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the short-term quick attack and the penultimate technical behavior in each of {running with ball A short distance from the wing players, the penetrating passes from the
