Digital competencies and their relationship to leadership excellence in directing physical education in the Directorate of Education in Cairo Governorate

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the past two decades led to the emergence of many modern means of social communication, and this resulted in a change in the daily lifestyles of individuals, so that it reached all aspects of their lives, although the Internet is the most important thing that resulted in the employment of technology in the service of human capabilities. However, the emergence of digital technology and its investment in the development of skills and competencies is considered the most important achievement.This study was conducted to identify the reality of information competence when directing physical education in the Directorate of Education in Cairo Governorate on an exploratory sample of 50 male and female teachers and a basic sample of 260 physical education teachers in different educational departments within the Directorate of Education in Cairo Governorate, and the researcher used the descriptive approach. The survey, and one of the most important tools that were used to collect data is the questionnaire designed by the researcher, and one of the most important results is that the information competence of the Physical Education Directive was achieved in a medium degree with a relative weight of (74.77%), and one of the most important recommendations is the need to pay attention to the guidance of Physical Education, the competence of information and the development of a base Information and the work of courses to increase the technological knowledge of physical education instructors to keep pace with the changes of the times.
