Abstract

The study aims to build a scale for the psychological empowerment of players in sports activities at Zagazig University. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The sample consisted of (180) male and female players, with (90) players and (90) players. The researcher built the scale, and the most important results were the construction of a psychological empowerment scale. (Under research) and rationing it in terms of the availability of scientific transactions (honesty and reliability). The dimensions that measure the psychological empowerment of the players of sports activities at Zagazig University (under study) were extracted after the factorial analysis into (5) dimensions, namely: the first dimension (purposefulness) and the number of its expressions (10), the second dimension (influence) and the number of its expressions (8), The third dimension (efficiency) and the number of its expressions (9), the fourth dimension (independence) and the number of its expressions (8), the fifth dimension (self-confidence) and the number of its expressions (8). The final form of the scale included (43) expressions. There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological empowerment among players of sports activities at Zagazig University according to the variable (gender), and statistically significant differences in the level of psychological empowerment among players of sports activities at Zagazig University according to the variable (training age) in favor of the training age that exceeds five years. .
