Abstract

The research aims to identify the impact of a motor education program on the development of some basic motor skills and social interaction of third-grade elementary students. The researcher utilized an experimental approach suitable for the nature and objectives of this research, using a single-group pretest-posttest design with pre-test and post-test measurements. The research population consisted of third-grade elementary students for the academic year (2023/2024). The research sample was selected using purposive random sampling from two classes of third-grade elementary students, with a sample size of 60 students, including those from the selected classes. Ten students were excluded from the research sample. The proposed program was implemented for two months (8 weeks), and the research results showed statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test means in all basic motor skills and social interaction in favor of the post-test measurement, indicating a positive impact of the motor education program on developing these skills among students. The study also showed that the program brings improvements in children's behavior, enhances social interaction, and basic motor skills, highlighting the importance of incorporating motor education programs in elementary education.
