The effect of an educational program using the Nearpod platform on cognitive achievement and teaching skills for the course of applications in teaching methods of physical education and small games

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of an educational program using the Nearpod platform on cognitive achievement and teaching skills for the course of Applications in Teaching Methods of Physical Education and Small Games at the Faculty of Physical Education, Menoufia University. The researcher used the experimental method by designing two experimental and control groups with pre-measurement and post-measurement, for second-level female students at the Faculty of Physical Education, Menoufia University, and their number during the second semester was (121) female students from the academic year (2023/2024). The number of members of the basic sample was (60) female students from the research community, and (50) female students from outside the research sample were used to find the scientific transactions under investigation. The results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group who study using the Nearpod platform due to the use of teaching methods within the course content to teach its contents, so the learner has a space for understanding and application at the same time. The researcher recommended adopting the Nearpod platform when teaching students in the course of Applications in Teaching Methods of Physical Education and Small Games.
