Building a cognitive achievement test for the cognitive aspects of some handball skills for students in the second cycle of basic education

Abstract

The current research aims to build a cognitive achievement test for the cognitive aspects of some handball skills for middle school students. The researcher used the descriptive method with a survey study approach due to its suitability for achieving the research goal and its appropriateness for the nature of its procedures. The research population included second preparatory school students, with a total of (90) students in the Good Shepherd School in Cairo. A purposive sample was selected, consisting of (20) twenty students with a percentage of (22.22%) for the academic year 2023/2024, the first semester. The most important data collection tools included test questions to measure the cognitive level of some handball skills for students and to determine the test time, which was (10) ten minutes. One of the most important results is that the cognitive achievement test is valid for use with second preparatory school students for some handball skills.
