Abstract

The effect of using electronic simulation games on the development of some skill and cognitive variables in basketball for middle school students

This study aims to identify the effect of using electronic simulation games on some skill and cognitive variables in basketball for preparatory school students, and this is achieved through the researcher's adoption of the experimental method with an experimental design with pre and post measurement for one experimental group, in order to meet the nature of the research. For the nature of the research, the research sample was selected from the students of the preparatory stage at the Preparatory Sports School in Banha for the academic year (2023-2024) in the summer semester at the school, and the most important results and conclusions reached by the researcher were that the use of educational electronic simulation games through the computer in Supporting schools with the modern technological means necessary to use these techniques while emphasizing the importance of establishing interactive software libraries in schools that cover various sports activities, the availability of simulation game programs is necessary even if laboratory equipment is available. This is because it gives the student the opportunity to repeat the skill and practice it until he masters it, the need for teachers to observe and follow up the trends of their students and the use of appropriate means to measure these trends and develop programs to solve the needs of students in this aspect
