Reasons for female students to refrain from athletic activity at the Euphrates Technical University

The research aims to identify the reasons behind the reluctance of the technical students of Al Furat University in the middle of sports activity with the availability of the space designated for that by the availability of a sports hall. The research sample consisted of (300) female students, with a percentage (13.9%) of the adult research community (2158 male students). A questionnaire was designed for this purpose that contained three axes, which are the axis of the causes of abstinence outside the university environment, consisting of (5) questions, and the axis of the causes of abstinence within The university environment consists of (5) questions and the axis of the student's cultural environment consists of (4) questions. The researcher used the arithmetic mean and simple correlation (Pearson) and the percentage as a statistical means to reach the results of the research. In light of what the study showed, it was found that the reason for the reluctance Students of the Middle Euphrates University in technical activity in the axis (outside the environment University campus is the social norms and traditions, and in the axis (within the university environment) is the non-allocation of hours for sports activity in the weekly lessons schedule. In the (cultural environment) axis, the most influential reason is the lack of interest in the study of mathematics in the preparatory study stage, and the axis of the cultural environment is the most influencing students ’reluctance to exercise sports, and the lack of interest in the study of sports education in the preparatory stage is the most influential reason for Exercise, and the physical capabilities of female students' families do not affect their reluctance to exercise.
